Sumaya Asvat is an illustrator, educator and community worker based in Melbourne, Australia. A strong believer in the power of community arts and an advocate for arts education, Sumaya has spent the last ten years dedicated to facilitating meaningful creative programs and experiences for young people. As an illustrator she uses watercolours and digital mediums. She is inspired by the power of feminine and lunar energy as well as the concept of light and dark and their presence in both our physical and metaphysical lives.
