About Halima Shala Ebrahim

Halima Shala Ebrahim graduated from the University of Cape Town with a BA and spent some years as a High School teacher. In 2013, her first book , a poetry collection “Life is a Dream” was published. Her poems express a love of life, pursuing spiritual meaning, nature and exploring loss and love. Her second book, an illustrated travel story from the perspective of a child, writing letters about his experiences was published in London by Ta Ha Publishers. Halima Shala continues to write poems and is a life coach currently coaching and mentoring high school learners. She is a grandmother, cook and recipe developer who resides in Cape Town with her husband and Siamese cats.
